Spanish cultural centre Séneca is a private educational institution, which was formed with the goal to bring together Spanish and Latvian cultures and become the bridge between these cultures in Latvia.
We also cooperate with other educational institutions, which are interested in Spanish culture, as well as with Spanish and local enterprises, whose economical activities are related to Spanish culture.
Spanish cultural centre Séneca offers translation services to and from Latvian/Spanish, specializing in translation of juridical, scientific and technical texts.
Our centre provides and promotes learning and practice of Spanish because we offer not only Spanish language courses, but also organize cultural activities and social events in relation to Spanish culture, art, music, society and other topicalities regarding Spain and the Spanish language.
The members of our centre also have the possibility to get acquainted with Spanish culture and enjoy Spanish atmosphere by attending guitar, gastronomy, literature master classes or theatre workshops, movie evenings or conversational clubs.
We also want to promote the Latvian language among Spaniards, because Latvian is one of the most ancient languages in Europe, and is also one of the official languages in the EU institutions.
With this double aim – educate and become acquainted – we founded the Spanish culture centre Séneca. The centre carries the name of the world wide known Cordobian philosopher Seneca and whose cognition has become our inspiration and motto:
