Spanish courses
"Spanish cultural centre Séneca" provides Spanish courses in Riga, which main characteristic is "immersion" in the Spanish language and culture - since courses are taught by teachers from Spain and language learning is combined with active its practice apart from lessons by using the library, video library of the centre, as well as by participating in weekly activities - presentations about Spain, theatre group, press club, cinema workshop, game evenings, parties and even Spanish cooking workshops.
"Spanish cultural centre Séneca" is a private institution of non-formal education. The programs are licensed by the municipality of Riga. . All the programs comply with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Our centre provides combined language and culture courses at all levels – from beginners to advanced levels. We provide in-person and online courses.
During classes we use text books from Spain and audiovisual materials in order to give our students the opportunity to learn modern Spanish which corresponds to real life situations in Spanish speaking countries.
Teachers of our centre are all native Spanish, specialized in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. The teachers also are involved in the cultural activities about Spain and its culture held at our centre, thus creating positive Spanish atmosphere which helps to practice Spanish outside the classroom as well.
In addition to courses we offer our students the access to the library and video library, which are an important addition to the Spanish language classes and provide support in studies, as well as help to practice the existing knowledge and study language more thoroughly.
